Since August 15th 2006, Don & Angelina Boots have been developing, teaching and training Pastors and Leaders in South East Asia AND THE Solomon Islands. We have spent a total of nine months on three different occasions in Malaysia, living in Ipoh, Angelina’s birthplace.

The countries that we have been able to work in are Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, South Thailand and The Solomon Islands. Our first invitation was from Ps Henry Liew, the National Leader of Foursquare Malaysia, and we have been supported by FMI WA in all that we are doing.

It is now two years since we began this phase of our team Ministry and it has developed into an effective way to help developing countries. 2 Timothy 2:2 – “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” – has become our Scripture.

Some of the first group of people that we taught and trained in Malaysia in 2006 are now actually leading and pastoring Church Plants! In 2000, Malaysia had 1 Foursquare Church, this year, 2008, they have 28 Churches and are planning to plant 6 more in the next 6 months. Ps Henry is unable to train people fast enough for the job at hand! They have a Bible College in Ipoh, and are in the process of opening a training centre in Kuala Lumpur as well to cope with the demand. Foursquare Churches are also being planted in East Malaysia (Sabah).

Singapore had 2 Foursquare Churches when we were there in June, 2008, and they are growing and adding more now. Some of the Pastors there need encouragement.

Vietnam Foursquare is not a registered body yet, so teaching there comes at a price, but the leaders are so hungry and so willing to learn. We were back in Ho Chi Minh City in May 2008, teaching classes on “Basic Church Administration” and “The Christian Family”. The needs of these Pastors brought down the presence of God right there in the classes, so we abandoned teaching for some sessions to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way and minister life, repentance, healing and refreshing in these precious people.

In Hadyai, South Thailand, we taught leaders who were young in the Lord but needed training as the Harvest is white and the labourers are few! This area of South Thailand has unique troubles from different religious groups. Bombings are not uncommon and the people have a great need for God. We had the honour of ministering to the Pastor and his family in great depth.

In Honiara, Solomon Islands in February/March of 2008, we trained 30 Leaders and prospective Pastors. This is a country with great need and looks like a Third World Country in 1950! Here again, people travelled from far and wide, under desperate and difficult conditions to get to the 17 nights of “Leadership Development”. Our combined 58 years of Ministry experience, has given us the ability to speak with authority and help these precious people to walk through their pain, and come out excited about what God wants to do through each of them.

This year, on returning to some of these Churches, we found that we had now earned the right to speak into their lives.

Everywhere we go, we seem to leave a part of our hearts.

These last two years have been very fulfilling and invitations are many, but we want only to go where God directs us. So please be praying with us about 2009.

Thank you for supporting us in so many ways. Finances are desperately needed, but so is prayer and an occasional phone call or email. Foursquare WA has been a blessing to many people in these diverse countries, as we go on your behalf!

Men and Women in these countries are so needy both physically and Spiritually and it is a wonder that WA Foursquare can reach so many in a new way that astounds us each time we go there.

These people need our prayers as well as the teaching, training, developing, and encouragement that we can give them.
